EUGENE, Ore. – Three Northwest Christian University men’s basketball players were named to the Academic All-Cascade Collegiate Conference team, as announced by the league offices on Tuesday.
Earning the honor for the third straight year was senior
Erik Quick-Warner (Marist HS), an accounting major. Junior
Brent McKee (Sheldon HS), also majoring in accounting, was selected in basketball for the second year. This is his third overall selection, including one for men's golf during his sophomore season. Earning his first Academic All-CCC honor is junior
Cameron Marshall (South Eugene HS), an Exercise Science major.
Head Coach Corey Anderson said, “All three of these young men serve as great academic role models for our entire team. Their basketball success is a direct reflection of their academic success. They are true student-athletes.”
Only two schools in the CCC boasted more than three members of their team earning selections; Concordia and Oregon Tech, with five selections apiece. To earn Academic All-Conference honors, players must be of sophomore standing and carry a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.2 or higher.
